TUNTUM

Tuntum is a series about Black women seen through a diasporic lens. It is interested in what we inherit, what we pass between each other and what we choose to make our own.

The work moves beyond survival alone, making space for sisterhood, forgiveness and rebuilding. Rather than looking for certainty, the paintings stay with the everyday work of becoming, asking what it means to build a sense of self while carrying many histories at once.
