The National Gallery — Heritage Collage Workshop

Challenge: No wet materials allowed near historic artworks

I was commissioned to extend the ILE WA project through a workshop exploring Black culture and identity within a heritage context. I developed Reclaiming Narratives: Portraits of Black Identity, selecting gallery works that supported the theme and choosing conservation-friendly materials.
Participants created reflective collage-portraits that connected personal heritage to wider cultural narratives. The workshop offered a rare opportunity for culturally grounded creative expression inside the National Gallery.
